I finally accepted that I'm not a meal prep person... and that's why I cook from scratch more often now.

For years, I thought meal prep meant spending hours cooking multiple meals in advance, portioning them into containers, and eating the same thing for days. The truth? I'm just not a meal prep person.

What has worked much better for me is ingredient prepping.

I wash, chop, and freeze vegetables, make ginger-garlic paste, prep herbs, portion proteins, and keep a few homemade essentials ready to go.

Cooking from scratch becomes so much easier on busy days because half the work is already done.

As someone who also watches her weight, this method works better for me than fully prepared meals. I still get to decide what I feel like eating that day, control the ingredients, and make fresh meals without spending ages in the kitchen.

A few things I always keep prepped:

✓ Ginger-garlic paste
✓ Washed herbs
✓ Frozen vegetables
✓ Marinated proteins
✓ Homemade curry bases and sauces
