At Wellness Must, we often say that true wellness is not a trend — it is a story that has traveled through human civilization.

Today’s podcast became exactly that kind of journey.

Together with Dr. Hasnain Haidar Shah, we explored how the idea of healing evolved across generations:
• ancient wellness practices
• survival physiology
• Cold War-era experiments
• regenerative medicine
• cryotherapy
• photobiomodulation
• and the future of longevity science

What made the conversation fascinating was how naturally history, science, and human curiosity connected together. It felt less like a podcast and more like walking through the evolution of wellness itself.

And somewhere during this deep discussion, something beautiful happened.

Izan — who was simply sitting nearby and listening quietly — slowly became completely engaged in the conversation. By the end, he and Dr. Hasnain were deeply discussing ideas, asking questions, and exploring concepts together.

That moment reminded us of something important:

The most meaningful conversations are the ones that make the next generation curious.

Because wellness is not only about therapies, technology, or medicine.
It is also about preserving curiosity, wisdom, and the human desire to understand ourselves better.

Some discussions end when the cameras stop.

The good ones continue long after.

🩺 I recently got my lipid panel done — and honestly, it was eye-opening.
Most of us hear the words “cholesterol test” and think it’s just one number. But a full lipid panel tells a much richer story.
Here’s what I learned:
🚌 LDL (“Bad” Cholesterol)
Think of it as a delivery truck carrying cholesterol TOWARD your arteries. Too many trucks = traffic jam = plaque buildup in your coronary arteries.
🚌 HDL (“Good” Cholesterol)
This one drives in the OPPOSITE direction — picking up cholesterol FROM your artery walls and returning it to the liver for disposal. The more, the better.
🚶 Triglycerides
Free-floating fat in your blood — like pedestrians wandering the highway. Excess sugar and refined carbs turn into these. High levels + low HDL = serious cardiovascular risk.
🚐 VLDL
The parent particle. Born in the liver, packed full of triglycerides — and it eventually transforms into LDL after unloading its cargo.
What surprised me most? These particles don’t just exist independently — they transform into each other. VLDL → IDL → LDL. Your lifestyle directly affects how much of each is circulating.
💡 Key takeaway: It’s not just about your total cholesterol number. The RATIO and TYPE of particles matter far more.
Have you had your full lipid panel checked lately? It might tell you more than you expect. 👇

Your gut and brain are constantly communicating through the gut–brain axis.
A healthy gut microbiome may support mood, focus, and emotional balance through important metabolites like butyrate and GABA.
Sometimes better mental wellness starts with better gut health.

For years, we spoke about “PCOS” mainly through the lens of ovaries.
But science is evolving — and now the conversation is shifting toward “PMOS” (PolyMetabolic O***y Syndrome), recognizing that this condition is not only reproductive, but deeply metabolic.

Insulin resistance, inflammation, weight changes, mood, energy, sleep, and long-term cardiometabolic health are all part of the picture.

A name change alone does not change care — but it changes how we think, how we diagnose, and how seriously we address the whole woman, not just her ovaries.

Women deserve a broader, more integrated understanding of their health.

Peptides are not magic shortcuts. Your body already produces thousands of them naturally — they work best when sleep, nutrition, movement, and mental health are already in place.

Even GLP-1 medications are peptides. That’s why quality, dosing, sourcing, and medical oversight matter — because not everything labeled “wellness” is automatically safe.
