I come today to share a beautiful experience I lived yesterday, an amazing Foraging Workshop by ♡

Not only is Elle a real sweetheart, a really knowledgeable naturopath and herbalist, but she's also so generous with all her foraging knowledge! 🌼

We scout Mount Victoria here in Wellington, recognizing familiar plants and encountering new native ones! All with an amazing group of people and a delightful feast at the end! 🥰
I feel so blessed by this wonderful experience 🙏🏻

Ritualitos ♡ Little Rituals

Today the sun came out in Wellington, I woke up early and made myself some Mate while looking at the beautiful and wide sky. Mate, for who don't know, is a traditional drink from Argentina/Uruguay, which is basically a way of drinking an infusion for hours 😅 particularly of Yerba Mate, an energizing herb ☆

The little birds in my garden have just become parents, and their babies do not stop singing in the clear and calm morning.
I decided to drink my Mate with extra help for my liver today, since I have been needing a little detox.
In the photo we have a nice base of Yerba Mate, with the traditional healers for our favorite filter organ ♡
Can you recognize any before I reveal them?

So we have:

🌱 Yerba Mate (Ilex paraguariensis)

🌿 Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)

🌼 Dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis)

🌷 Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum)

🏵 Calendula (Calendula officinalis)

🍒 Schizandra (Schisandra chinensis)

🍊 Mandarin (Citrus reticulata)

The peel of the mandarin is not so much for the liver, but it helps with intestinal balance, but above all because I love its fruity flavor and scent! 🥰

And you? Would you try this mix with Mate?

El baño puede ser un espacio sagrado de profunda conexión, con nosotros mismos, con el silencio, la tranquilidad; conectar con el elemento agua purificándonos, el elemento tierra con las sales y hierbas, el v***r cálido en el aire, y el fuego prendido dentro o manifestado en una vela.
Con lo divino, desde adentro hacia afuera y desde afuera hacia adentro.
Puede ser tmb simplemente un espacio seguro, donde puedo soltar las cargas del día y nutrirme, de amor, de calma, de paz. Purificarme de todo aquello que es polvo y suciedad del vivir.. aquello que me aqueja, que libero para parar de sufrir..

Hola criaturas bellas ♡
Aquí una Carmincita jugando a recrear maquillaje egipcio..

▪︎ ¿¿Sabían que los antiguos egipcios hacían maquillajes hermosos para imitar a los Dioses??
Por eso usaban oro y lapislázuli, por ser materiales preciosos☆
▪︎ A su vez los colores que usaban estaban obviamente inspirados en la naturaleza, por eso se puede apreciar el azul del Nilo y el dorado de las arenas iluminadas por el sol ☆
▪︎ Eran maestros en las artes herbales, medicinales y estéticas. Se han descubierto montones de materiales de cosmética similares en tecnología a los que usamos hoy en día en sarcófagos de faraones antiguos ☆

Este maquillaje emula un poco esos delineados exuberantes que alargaban los ojos y las cejas ♡

Confieso que no, no es perfecto, yo particularmente le veo muchos lugares donde podría estar mejor ejecutado. Culpa un poco de la falta momentánea de herramientas y de que realmente no pensaba subirlo xD

Pero saben qué?? No soy maquilladora de Instagram, no me interesa mostrar perfección, eso no existe! Somos seres humanos, orgánicos e imperfectos, y nuestras creaciones así lo reflejan. Y me gusta que sea así ♡

El maquillaje no tiene que ser perfecto, tiene que ser una herramienta más de expresión artística y de conexión con unx mismx donde podamos ser sin límites ☆

Así que si este maquillaje imperfecto te inspira un poco a jugar con tu rostro a expresarte, bienvenido sea 💗
