Students eager to learn what it takes to be a care worker in an assisted living facility (nursing home). 🥰 Preparing work placement students. ADL equipment is part of everyday life for residents, and something they’ll be working with all the time—whether it’s denture care, mouth swabs, urinals, slide sheets, or pads. In one session, I bring it all together: falls risk, safe use of hoists to assist falls, transfers, repositioning, infection control, and proper hand hygiene, so students can see how these tasks connect.
