One thing we know is babies. 👶 We got a special visit today during our staff photo shoot.
Our clinic was founded upon fertility support and whilst it has branched into a focus around women’s health, it wasn’t where we started. Fertility has and always will be our jam.
Look at us all swooning. 😍

Did you know ….
In Chinese medicine, high cortisol is a symptom of stagnated Liver energy.
Chronic stress leads to chronic high levels of cortisol. Soothing Liver Qi requires the reduction of chronic stress to encourage the natural rhythm of cortisol. This is done through how we feel, express, live and eat.
More common symptoms of Liver Qi stagnation are:
- anger, irritability and frustration
- menstrual cycle irregularities, pms and pain
- bloating
- IBS
- headaches and migraines
- histamine imbalances
- allergies
- pain in or under ribs
- bitter taste in the mouth
- eye problems
Liver Qi stagnation means that the Liver energy is stuck. This is the most common imbalance we see in practice. This is the result of improper diet, staying up late, repressed emotions, excess stimulant use, toxin overload, medication, etc.
To help move Liver Qi (energy), acupuncture, movement, herbs, and activities like meditation and also creative activities are recommended. Foods like lightly sauteed leafy greens, citrus, ginger, schisandra, all help Liver function.
Diet-wise, avoid greasy, fried, and foods that are too spicy or alcohol as well as stimulants. Also, no processed foods, excessively cold drinks or foods or refined sugars.
Herbal Support:
To support a sluggish Liver, use Liver Recharge
* To support a sluggish Liver and the eyes use Goji Extract
* To support the Liver and hormones, use Liver Recharge and Schisandra
To drain toxicity from the Liver, use Candida Relief+
* Magnesium and vitamin D are linked with Liver function

Any of these sound familiar??
We’ve all suffered from bloating - some, more so than others! And sometimes this is accompanied by some other uncomfortable and even painful symptoms, so keeping a close eye on when it’s happening can help you identify what the trigger is.
Do you notice the bloat creeping up those days that you have to take your lunch break at your work desk? if so, then it might be from stress!
Or do you notice it happening after certain meals? if so, might be food sensitivity!
Do you notice indigestion, upper abdomen bloat, or feel like food is just sitting in your stomach and not digesting after you eat? if so, might be low stomach acid!
Do you notice you feel bloated only the week or so leading up to your period? if so, could be due to an imbalance between estrogen and progesterone!
Is the bloat just constant, all the time? might be an overall gut microbiome issue!
The good news is, we’re always here to help! Regular acupuncture and Chinese herbs has been proven extremely effective for bloating, hormonal imbalances, GI issues, stress relief and so many other factors that often make out tummies a little more upset than we’d often like!
