Unfortunately Bowen Salon is now shut down and won’t be trading again at this stage.

Health & Safety have advised me to close the salon as there has been issues come to light about the condition of the building.

I was hoping to sell the business as Airlie Beach Salon is very busy and I wanted to pass on this awesome profitable business to another person. I couldn’t do this though in good Conscience without checking the building out before I sold it…I’m so glad I did because it opened up something very serious.

You and my staff health & safety is of the up most importantance to me. Not money. Not profit.
The building is unsafe to be in at this present time & I have no idea when or if the situation will be rectified.

So with that information at hand we have closed. I apologise to the clients that had bookings that have been canceled on short notice, but I thank you for being so understanding. The Bowen community have shown us nothing but heart and I thank you for that.

This Salon has been a great success! From rocky beginnings to the most popular salon in the town. We thank you and are humbled by your custom and pride ourselves on our work. If you can’t make it down to Airlie I’m sure you will find somewhere else just as great and you can show their business the amazing support you have shown mine.

So onwards and upwards from here! Kate is now working in the Airlie Beach salon. If you can come show your support for her as she starts her journey in Airlie with myself & Grace.

Other businesses- Thank you for reaching out to Kate about work let me assure you she’s well looked after and loves Apricate&Wild. I truly believe the best thing out of opening Bowen salon was meeting kate. She’s an absolute gem and a great laugh. Kate has been so supportive and I thank her so much for that.

If you have had an appointment we will be able in touch asap if we haven’t already. If you have had a wedding booked or formal these are still available as we do freelance for hair & makeup.
