EMPOWERING OTHERS TO MAKE HEALTHIER + MORE CONSCIOUS CHOICES

One hour of scented candle burning can be the equivalent of smoking a single cigarette (yep, I never knew this either until recently and it’s for good reason).
Most store bought candles are made from paraffin, a petroleum by product which is chemically bleached before it’s made into wax and then into a candle. Burning paraffin wax candles emits highly toxic benzene and toluene, which are both known human carcinogens (cancer causing).
Many commercial candles are scented with synthetic fragrance and when burnt this releases soot and hormone disrupting fumes into the air, contributing to poor air quality inside the home.
Synthetic fragrances used to scent candles commonly include acetone, benzaldehyde, benzyl acetate, benzyl alcohol, ethanol, ethyl acetate and methylene chloride. The EPA studied the above listed ingredients and deemed them all potentially hazardous chemicals.
I know this might come as a shock to some but here’s a solution: use a diffuser and pick a different scent each day, problem solved

Let’s make going low tox easy
Watch along as I show exactly how to switch out toxic products for low tox, safe ones (catch me on my stories next week!)
It really is as easy as that, just switching as you go - it doesn’t happen overnight, just like going to the gym for one day ain’t giving you abs
Same goes for going low tox … it’s a gradual process, but one that’s amazing and provides peace of mind for you and your whole family
If lockdown and COVID tells us anything, it’s that our health is crucial and it’s not something to compromise on

I love having a little oily pouch that I can take on the go with my everyday essentials
I have so much peace of mind knowing I’m consciously reducing my toxic load
Now that I know better, I do better
I no longer spray myself with toxic perfume in the morning, instead I’m actively looking after my hormones (which is important because they play a huge role in our bodily functions such as reproduction, metabolism, sleep, growth and development etc)
My everyday essentials include:
- Progessence phyto plus and endoflex for hormone support
- Peppermint for a morning and arvo pick me up
- Digize for tummy support
- Valor for emotional support and natural perfume
What are your everyday non-negotiable essentials for your health?
Ps. Cute oily pouch from

Tyson and I are moving closer to the beach soon into an apartment we bought and we are beyond excited
Can’t wait for warmer days, endless swims, surfing for hours, longer daylight, chippies on the beach, sunrises and sunsets and just pure happiness doing what we love
I’m currently just riding the wave of life at the moment, working hard to reach my goals and staying well within my lane
Currently not letting anybody f*ck with my flow or energy

Just seven percent of cleaning products adequately disclose their ingredients…
EWG (Environmental Working Group) scientists spent 14 months reading product labels of common cleaning products
EWG’s key scientific findings:
- Some 53 percent of cleaning products assessed by EWG contain ingredients known to harm the lungs. About 22 percent contain chemicals reported to cause asthma to develop in otherwise healthy individuals
- Formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, is sometimes used as a preservative or may be released by other preservatives in cleaning products
- The chemical 1,4-dioxane, a suspected human carcinogen, is a common contaminant of widely-used detergent chemicals
- Chloroform, a suspected human carcinogen, sometimes escapes in fumes released by products containing chlorine bleach
- Quaternary ammonium compounds (“quats”) like benzalkonium chloride, found in antibacterial spray cleaners and fabric softeners, can cause asthma

Phthalates
Synthetic chemicals that are used to manufacture plastic
In the past few years, researchers have linked phthalates to:
asthma
attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
breast cancer
obesity
neurodevelopmental issues
behavioral issues
altered reproductive development
fertility issues
Would you spray this on your body everyday? Truth is, if you’re using generic spray perfume, then you are…
About 4,000 chemicals are currently used to scent products, but you won't find any of them listed on a label
I now use coconut or jojoba oil and essential oils to replace my old perfume
My fav blend I’m loving at the moment is envision and grapefruit, what’s your go to perfume blend?
