What an incredible year it’s been. A year of juggling, growth, and big changes as I stepped into the disability world, and I’m so grateful for every moment.

Advocacy is something very close to my heart, so I feel truly honoured that one of my beautiful clients has given me permission to share a little of her inspiring journey. The work she is doing to support young people living with chronic illness, hidden disability, and mental health challenges is nothing short of extraordinary.
Despite living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and multiple complex disabilities, Hayleigh refuses to let her challenges define or limit her. She continues forward with incredible courage, determination, and hope for a brighter future.
Hayleigh is a talented writer, illustrator, and creative soul. She pours her heart into making handmade jewellery, children’s bag accessories, wall art, homeware pieces, and other little treasures as part of her fine motor therapy,with the proceeds supporting her medical care.

It’s been such a full and busy few months here at HWC! Christmas is only 48 days away. Wowzers, where did this year go? We have both our younger cherubs finishing school in under five weeks, and we’re busy supporting them as they step into their new ventures.

My hair schedule is filling up very fast and my books are now closed for new clients. I’m truly so grateful for you all ♥️

Next year, I’ll be venturing more into my support worker role while keeping a lovely balance with hair, something I’m really looking forward to.

With the addition of support work and walking alongside families as they navigate goals for their loved ones, my cup is truly overflowing. I’m absolutely loving this new venture.

Please, if you haven’t already secured your hair appointments leading up to Christmas Eve, make sure to do so soon to avoid missing out. HWC will be closing for Christmas from the 24th of December to the 7th of January to rest, recharge, and spend time with loved ones.
