I help women master body shape dressing without the overwhelm

08/07/2026

The outfits I get most excited about are usually the ones made up of pieces from completely different style categories.

It’s called juxtaposition styling, and I talk about it every year because it’s one of the easiest ways to come up with outfit combinations you might not have thought of.

This look is a good example. A cosy knit with satin pants. One feels more casual, the other a little dressier, and I just love the contrast.

Ever put on an outfit and thought, Yep, that’s fine, but it still feels like it’s missing something?

That’s usually when I start looking at accessories. Jewellery is one of those styling details that can completely change the feel of an outfit.

One thing I hear quite a bit from women is that they love layered/stacked necklaces on other people, but aren’t always sure how to style options themselves.

If you’ve been looking for a little inspiration, here’s a look at a few necklace layering combinations from GIMME Jewellery _ to get you started.

One thing I’ve learnt as a personal stylist is that your outfit formulas don’t always need to change... but the way you wear them often does.

Your personal style naturally evolves over time. Mine certainly has.

I still gravitate towards lots of outfit formulas i’ve worn in the past, but the silhouettes, fit and proportions that feel like me today look quite different to what they did a few years ago.

That’s exactly what this video is showing. Similar formula, just an evolved version of the same outfit formula.

And that’s often where the biggest shift happens. A few updates can completely change how an outfit feels, while still feeling true to your personal style.

There’s good reason why you feel happier when you wear colour. It’s not a coincidence.

I spoke about this exact thing at a workshop I hosted recently , the power of wearing colour (aka dopamine dressing) and honestly, it’s one of my favourite topics to talk about because the psychology behind it is so good.

Wearing colour has been shown to boost your mood, your motivation, and your confidence. It’s not woo woo, it’s not a trend, it’s your brain responding to colour before it responds to anything else you’re wearing.

And here’s the part I always tell my clients, you don’t have to go all in. You don’t need a head to toe rainbow moment, unless that’s your thing and be sure to go for it) Sometimes it’s just a bag. A shoe. One colourful piece in an otherwise neutral outfit. That’s enough to shift how you feel. (a red ballet flat etc)

Never underestimate the power of a little colour 🫶

If your winter outfits have ever felt a little off, your boots could be the reason.

In Part 1, I shared a few boot styles that can be trickier to style. In Part 2, I’m sharing some of the swaps I’d recommend instead.

As a stylist, I’ll never tell you that you can or can’t wear something. Style isn’t about rules. But if you’ve ever wondered why a certain pair of boots feels harder to wear with what’s already in your wardrobe, there are usually some styling reasons behind it.

When you’re choosing boots, I always encourage thinking beyond one outfit. The most hardworking pairs are the ones that work back with lots of different looks in your wardrobe.

I’ve also rounded up some versatile boot options as a great starting point if you’re looking to update your winter boots.

If your winter outfits have ever felt a little off, your boots could be the reason.

As a stylist, there are a few boot styles I find consistently harder to style. Not because you can’t wear them, but because they can limit outfit options, throw proportions off balance and sometimes make getting dressed harder than it needs to be.

In this video, I’m breaking down a few of those styles and the reasons they can feel harder to style than other boot options.

Let me know if any of these surprised you 👇

Part 2 with my recommended swaps is coming soon.

As a personal stylist, one of the most common things I hear from clients and women is that they have a complicated relationship with jeans. White jeans especially. And honestly? I completely understand why.

For most women, the references we grew up seeing looked nothing like us. One body type, one certain standard to aspire to, one way to wear them. No room for anything in between. So we did what made sense , many of us avoided them altogether.

But here’s what I want you to know. That feeling has nothing to do with your body and everything to do with never being shown the full picture.

I know because I felt exactly the same way. It wasn’t until I really started understanding different cuts, silhouettes, proportions, how layering and styling can completely transform how something looks and feels on your body, that white jeans stopped being something I avoided and became something I actually reach for.

And that’s exactly what I want for you too. Because there isn’t just one version of white jeans and once you start seeing all the different cuts, silhouettes and ways to style them, they stop feeling intimidating and start feeling like options.

I’ve had a few requests for transition and warmer weather styling, so consider this your starting point for inspo. And if you want to see white jeans taken into winter, let me know in the comments 👇

One thing I’ve learnt as a personal stylist is that versatility matters. When I’m looking for pieces to add to a client’s wardrobe (or my own), I’m always thinking about how many different ways they can be styled.
Can it work casually?
Can it work with denim?
Can it be dressed up a little?
That’s exactly what I wanted to demonstrate with this jacket from Target Australia
Because the pieces that tend to get worn the most are often the ones that can move between different outfits and different occasions. I’d love to know which look is your favourite? 👇

A lot of my content that I love to create is sharing styling tips that are packed with educational value and those golden nuggets you can use. But sometimes, I just can’t help myself. I have to also show you pieces I absolutely love too. Like this pink bomber jacket, it’s fun piece 🩷 A little pop of fun to brighten up any outfit. Just wanted to share what’s bringing me joy in my wardrobe right now
