In the last financial year we have welcomed another 152 new clients to the Pink Finss family and we are so proud that we continue to offer practical and emotional support not just for the person diagnosed but for the whole family unit.

As we are funded by the Hawkesbury Community we engage local suppliers to carry out our services so that the money we spend goes back into the Hawkesbury Community.

Our service is unique and one that you will not find in any other local Government area. Our Hawkesbury is certainly one very special place and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

What a day ….. after 4 long years our Pink Finss Race Day came back with a bang ….. and a record breaking fundraising total of $120,000!!

World Lung Cancer Day

If you have lungs, you can get lung cancer !

Today is World Lung Cancer Day.... Lung Cancer is Australia’s biggest cancer killer and we need to change those statistics.

Sara is a Lung Cancer survivor at Pink Finss and all due to her self advocating for her own health before there was a screening program available.

It is thanks to the advocacy of people like Sara that we now have a National targeted lung cancer screening program, estimated to save 12,000 lives over the next 10 years.

However, due to Sara’s young age she still wouldn’t be eligible for the screening program criteria, which is something being worked on.

There is so much to still do in this field, but today we celebrate that people with lung cancer matter.

Sara is passionate about breaking down the stigma and judgement attached to lung cancer.
Factually the majority of Lung Cancer patience have NEVER smoked.

Every Australian deserves the best chance of survival.
