As the first anniversary of Maed By Studio approaches, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share a little of how I got here.

Maed By was always going to happen — it was just a matter of when. Choosing a passion career was never negotiable for me. I’ve never understood the idea of choosing a job for stability alone. So, I made a promise early on to say yes to every opportunity.

After 17 years of dedication — volunteering at Fashion Week, assisting some of the best in our industry on shoots and workshops — I found our beautiful little corner store and knew it was finally time to step out on my own.

I dreamed of changing what “normal” feels like in our industry. I wanted to create a calm, spa-like space where people feel truly taken care of. With just two chairs and one basin, Maed By is designed to be personal and peaceful — a place where busy lives can slow down, even just for a moment.

Whether you need a quiet place to work while your colour processes, or a luxurious space to simply be still — I wanted to create a space that feels like it’s truly yours.

I am so proud of what we have built in just one year, and so deeply grateful for every single person who has supported this dream. To my beautiful clients and followers: thank you for trusting me. And to Lisa, Louisa, Lilly, Ellie, and Melody — thank you for supporting me in my space. To Theo, I love you.
