If you've had your brow, lip or lash tattoo completed by iBoutique Perth, your 12-month refresh appointment is $395.
A question I get asked all the time is why a refresh costs more if your original tattoo wasn't done by me.
The answer is simple: for me, it's not a refresh—it's a new tattoo procedure.
Before I even begin, I need to carefully assess a number of factors, including:
• The integrity of your skin and how well it has healed.
• The existing pigment—has it faded as expected, or has the colour shifted over time?
• Whether there is any scar tissue, thickening or changes to the skin.
• What type of pigment was originally used (organic, inorganic, PMU pigment or body tattoo ink).
• Whether you've had laser tattoo removal or other corrective procedures.
• Your desired outcome, and whether it's realistically achievable in one session.
Every existing tattoo tells a different story, and no two correction cases are ever the same.
In many cases, working over previous cosmetic tattooing is actually more complex and time-consuming than creating a brand new set of brows, lips or lashes on untouched skin. It often requires a more cautious approach, careful colour correction and, quite often, additional appointments to achieve a beautiful, long-lasting result.
