Cupping – Have you tried it?
• Cupping increases blood flow, helps to loosen fascia, muscle tissue and connective tissue and stimulates the healing process. Cups are placed on the skin at the site of pain or active trigger points throughout the body
• The type of cupping we use is referred to as “Air Cupping” it’s an alternative to fire cupping, first we use a sorbolene cream to help soften the skin and then using a handheld suction pump to remove air from the cups it creates a vacuum seal without heat, this makes the treatment more comfortable for patients
• Cupping may cause temporary marks on the skin which aren’t actually bruising and typically have no pain to the touch these marks can last 7-10 days after treatment this all depends upon the degree of suction created by the vacuum seal and the level of toxin within the muscle

Trigger Point Therapy
- Trigger point therapy is a soft tissue technique that can use different techniques to release painful tension within muscles and fascia that many refer to as a ‘knot’ in the muscle. The techniques we use to release trigger points include ischemic pressure, deep tissue massage & dry needling
- Trigger points are very sore points within a muscle when you put pressure on it and can also refer pain to other areas of the body when applying ischemic pressure however it can also cause pain without being pressed on and this is a major cause of muscular pain and restriction
- If you are struggling with pain or restriction and this affecting your daily life, your workouts or even how well you sleep, reach out, book in and I can help get back to a pain free world and even also get you an even better performance in your next workout

Dry Needling
Have you tried it? Not sure about? Want to know more?
Dry needling is used to speed up the healing process by using the muscles 'twitch response' to deactivate active trigger points within the muscle which helps to improve muscles function, range of motion, while also decreasing pain.
Does it hurt? In most people the needle is not really what you feel it is more the 'twitch' or 'muscle jumping' response that can be slightly uncomfortable but the results are definitely worth it
Is Dry Needling the same as Acupuncture?
No they are different while we use the same needles they are both based on different philosophies and the needle location points are completely different. I believe in both and they are both fantastic ways to improve your function and decrease your pain amongst other great benefits
In our treatments we use dry needling as a part of overall therapy combining this with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, cupping etc we get great results after every treatment

Hi I’m Craig (most people call me Foles) 👋
I’ve now finally found my new business home in the Gold Coast and want to share the exciting news with you all
My business has finished it’s rebranding and found its home at Never Quit Burleigh and I couldn’t be happier or more excited to join the team and help all our members in their
health & fitness journey. I’m sure I’ll get to know a lot of you very soon but so you can feel more familiar with who I am and what I’m all about here are some random facts about me to start things off:
💥I have been working as both a remedial massage therapist and personal trainer for over 20 years and have been running my own business in the industry since 2009
💥 I have treated so many varying types and injuries and musculoskeletal issues over the years that I’m sure I can find the best treatment plan for you to help you get back to your
best self and pain free life
💥I’m a Melbourne boy originally and my family is still all there but after 2020 it was time to “get busy living” and move to the sunshine state.
💥 For 2 years I lived and worked in Europe and for the summer months I worked in the Greek Islands as a massage therapist by day and a bar doorman by night and it will always be one the best decisions I’ve ever made as I found lifelong friends around the world
💥 I trained & competed as a professional sprinter for over 20 years and got to compete against some of Australia’s best sprinters, I still love the sport but after many injuries, surgeries and 7 days a week 11 months of the year sessions for 20 years it was time to hang up the spikes
💥I also have a diploma in landscape design & construction but after years working on the tools I knew this wasn’t what I was meant to do, I still love getting outside working when I can
💥 I am a massive movie nerd and I love every type of movie and when I need to recharge, I can happily put a favourite on that I’ve watched 100 times just to wind down, which usually means falling asleep on the couch lol
💥I’m always happy to meet people and give my best advice where I can so if you see me in the studio feel free to come and say hi. I look forward to meeting you all 🤩
