I am a little blown away.......

I know that to quit smoking is a practiced method but I just heard that a packet of 30's cost about $53!!!!!!!!!!

If I was still smoking that would mean I would be spending at least $400 a week on smokes alone. That's an average of $20,000 plus per year. I had smoked for over 20 years and that would equal a massive $400,000. It's not the money that is an issue but we all know that over half of that is taxes. So, not only do you pay taxes to earn the money, you then pay more taxes to smoke, now that's crazy.

Please don't get me wrong when I say this but holy s**t that's a lot of resources going to something that is keeping you ill. I'm not talking about the chemicals and things because let's face it if we could have natural to***co it wouldn't have half the killers in it that there currently are. Pretty much everything that is mass-produced is the same. I'm talking about the stress it causes you to be a smoker.

I remember being worried about where I was standing, who was near me, what was happening to the smoke, was I annoying anyone, omg I only have two smokes left and I can't get to the shop I have the kids, oh s**t I just had a smoke but I really want another one now but I don't have a break for a while......

That causes just as much if not more ill-health than smoking itself. The constant fear of what could happen next. It's this part that keeps us stuck in the cycle of addiction.

There is enough fear in this world already. Quitting Smoking was on of the most difficult things that I had to overcome.


It's been a few years now and even then I have times when I feel like I desperately want to smoke and then it just isn't the same.


That's because there are two parts to our thinking and it is necessary to address both. Most people think that with Hypnosis that's it, your done and it either works or it doesn't, well that's not entirely the whole story.


Some people have already gathered all of their information and made a decision to quit. So, when they use hypnosis it works straight away. Others need time and practice.


We forget that we are finding a new identity as a non-smoker and that it can take time for all of that to integrate.


So, if you've tried to quit and haven't been successful, allow yourself some time to practice being a non-smoker. You could be changing the wiring for many generations and this can take practice.

As an ex-smoker I use to struggle being around others that smoked. I thought that I loved smoking and that it gave me something that I couldn't give myself.

The truth is, you have all the strength you need inside of you to make a decision and throw away the smokes. We all have to be ready and then surround ourselves with the people that will support us the most.

In my experience the smokers were the ones that thought they were supporting me by handing me a smoke when I was stressed. They didn't know any better but it really wasn't helping.

When you can surround yourself with people that are going through the same thing, then you can move forward with the knowing that you have someone to lean on. But really you are all that you need. You have everything in you to make the decision and just quit.

If you haven't made the decision yet then all you need to do is simply ask, "How ready am I to quit right now?" This will help you to establish what is going on for you. We need to observe what is happening in our thinking before we can change it to a new us. Our unconscious shows us this by how we are feeling and what we are feeling shows us what we need to work through.

If you want to do this on your own I would encourage you to do so. But implement journal writing daily so you can become the observer of your feelings and thoughts and start practicing becoming a non-smoker.
