Performed the facial treatment before and after 2 sessions of PRP treatment for wrinkles/skin dryness.
With PRP treatment stimulation of collagen and elastin production occurs which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. It is also an effective treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone.

PRP for hair loss
The platelets from your own blood once
activated contain fundamental growth factors
that help stimulate hair follicles to produce
thicker, fuller and healthier hair.
What type of hair loss can be treated?
1. Androgenic Alopecia
Major form of hair loss, mainly due to hormonal
imbalances
2. Diffuse Alopecia
Caused by a physiological change such as
stress and nutritional deficiencies
3. Alopecia Areata
An autoimmune disease in which hair is lost
from some or all areas of the scalp
How many treatments are required?
This will be dependent on your individual
situation. Usually, PRP treatment is
performed in a series of two to three sessions,
3-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are
recommended every 6-12 months for optimal
long lasting results.

PRP Injections
Platelet Rich Plasma therapy has become very popular treatment for skin rejuvenation and hair loss using a person’s own blood. With the aging process, skin function, laxity declines and other factors like UV radiation and smoking, these can accelerate the process of skin damage. PRP is a therapy that stimulates new collagen production that helps with the improvement of skin complexion texture, refine wrinkles and reduce scars such as acne or stretch marks while preserving a natural appearance.
PRP can also be used to treat thinning hair and hair loss.
What is the procedure?
The area to be treated is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied for 40 -50 minutes. To enhance the effect, we will cover the skin with the cling wrap. A small sample of blood is taken from your arm, (exactly like having a routine blood test). Your blood is then transferred to a centrifuge machine, which spins your blood to separate the red blood cells, platelets and plasma.
Once it is confirmed that the numbing cream is working, I will remove it and clean the treated area with a sterilising solution to start the injections.
We are using TGA approved PRP system.
Can I have the procedure?
Like with any procedures there are contraindications that include blood disorders, use of blood thinning medications, active infection of the skin, pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe systemic disorders. Also, heavy smoking and alcohol consumption is unlikely to produce desirable effects.
Do I have to do anything before procedure?
5 – 7 days before treatment
• Stop taking supplements that increase bruising and bleeding e.g. Green Tea, Omega supplements (Fish oils), Evening Primrose Oil, Garlic, Echinacea, St. Johns Worth and Vitamin E.
• Stop taking medications that increase bruising and bleeding such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, only after consulting your medical practitioner: Nurofen (ibuprofen), Voltaren (diclofenac), Naprogesic (naproxen) and Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid).
• Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water leading up to and after your procedure (2.5- 3litres of water).
• Cease smoking
• Avoid fatty food, coffee, tea and alcohol before treatment
• Avoid direct exposure to the sun and tanning
• For hair regrowth procedure, hair should be washed before the treatment or at least the day before.
Are there any side effects?
PRP treatment is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects include mild to moderate swelling, irritation or redness and bruising. In rare cases, a skin infection may occur, which is easily treated with an antibiotic.
How many treatments do I need?
Results of PRP vary between individuals due to natural variation in quality of PRP. Improvement occurs gradually over 1-2 weeks. Usually, two treatments 6 weeks apart are recommended for facial treatment with a maintenance procedure after 6-12 months.
For the hair loss treatment usually 3 treatments 4 weeks apart with the maintenance every 6 months is recommended.
Is there any after procedure advice?

Do not smoke

Avoid make up for 24 hours
