Personalised hair transformations at Lily Jackson Hairdressing! 💇♀️✨ From cuts to colour, we've got your hair dreams covered.
After colouring her hair for years, this client wanted to transition to grey.
The brief however was it needed to be done immediately and wanted to get a cool short haircut.
Step 1
Jules conducted an in depth consultation.
Cutting the hair short was part of the client's wishes however there was going to be about 4-5cm of hair with the old tint that needed to be bleached out.
Step 2
Strand test conducted to ascertain the hair's ability to withstand the bleaching process using Wella's Blondorplex technology. The strand test also tells us how many times the hair needs to be bleached to get a clean result. The test told us it would need 3 bleaches. The reason for 3 bleaches is to maintain the hair's health and integrity and to avoid hair strands becoming weak and breaking.
Step 3
Masterfully cut the hair into a cool style and dry off.
Step 4, 5 & 6
Apply Blondorplex - watching carefully at each stage that the results are what was expected.
Step 7
Apply a special violet silver toner to counteract any remaining unwanted warmth .
Step 8
Blowdry with styling product.
Step 9
Rock your style!
Total amount of time required in salon: 5 hours.
Ongoing care: the hair required regular toning until the natural hair colour had fully grown through - about 12-16 weeks, with regular haircuts every 4-6 weeks. Depending on environmental factors, grey hair may still grow out with warmth that may require ongoing toner.

DOES THIS HAIRCUT SET THE WORLD ON FIRE????
NO.
No, it doesn't.
But that isn't the point.
This person wanted a change.
But they needed A CHANGE THEY COULD MANAGE.
And after YEARS of growing her hair, this seemed radical enough.
PLUS, her hair went to a children's charity who makes wigs for children with cancer who lose their hair during treatment.
So Sati, thank you for trusting us with this massive transformation. We are deeply humbled.
