Small business reality 🤣

People think beauty therapists spend all day doing facials and relaxing…

Reality:

🖤 Washing towels
🖤 Cleaning
🖤 Ordering stock
🖤 Answering messages
🖤 Drinking cold coffee
🖤 Wondering where the week went

And I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰

And I love that my little people also love helping in the salon and I am teaching and showing them a good work ethic 🥰

❄️ Winter skin feeling dry, tight or dull?

One of the biggest changes I see this time of year is dehydration. Even oily skin can become dehydrated in winter!

A few simple things can make a huge difference:

There was a time I thought I had to choose.

Be a present mum… or build a business.
Dream big… or keep the salon as a hobby..
Look after everyone else… or back myself.

What I’ve learnt is that it doesn’t have to be one or the other.

You can chase your goals and still be the one doing school drop-offs.
You can build something meaningful in the hours between appointments, dinner and sports training.
You can grow slowly and still grow successfully.

Will it always be balanced? No.
Will it always be easy? Definitely not.

But if you’re a mum sitting on a dream, wondering if you’re allowed to go after it too…

This is your reminder that you don’t have to wait for the “perfect” time.

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Take the next small step.

You don’t have to do it all perfectly.

You just have to keep showing up.
