Things have been a little slow and a little fast lately. Where has January gone?

Anyway, I have released some new face masks in some fun prints - including some new Aboriginal designs by Jijaka and Warlukurlangu Artists. Sure, these would have been great if they'd been released for NAIDOC week or before January 26, but they're here now, just as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are still here now, and not going anywhere.

I've made a couple of custom orders this week, of placemats and an apron, so I'll get to adding those to my store shortly. Next up is a soft but protective iPad case for myself, for taking it to music therapy.

There's more designs coming a little later this week, including some cool watercolour and fun native flower designs.

It's just masks at the moment, but on the way also are placemats, table runners, iPad cases, aprons, other fabric things I feel like making and maybe some other things I have made by hand or painted on canvas.

Oh my goodness, I am *this* close to revealing what I've been doing. There's been a temporary shift to Adelaide, coming back to lockdown, a house move, and a whole lotta procrastination going on in there too since I decided I'd start a business.

I'm considering closing the private group for TMM (the blog entries I post are publicly available on www.themutantmammary.com) and just posting a blog update message here instead. I don't want to feel like I'm not being as personal as I have been, I just think it's easier to post in one place instead of two.

In the meantime, here's what happens when you're 12 weeks overdue for a cut, your hair stylist sprains a tendon in her hair dressing extremeties and is out of action until January and you just can't take it anymore: photo edition.

One of the pots I painted for dad in the garden. This time, provided the mis-tinted paints for me to work with. Why buy the correct colour when someone else’s mistake could be your happy accident?

This is another thing I did this week, “inspired” by a digital piece I saw on Pinterest. I used poster paints that I found at (seriously, please sponsor me lololol) on some canvas paper. I am not very good at all, and poster paints are way too thin to use on canvas, but I had fun so f**k off. Plus it looks better from further away, like in another room.

I made myself a pair of leggings for myself out of THE CUTEST fabric from . I've been making these for my niece and nephew for a couple of months, but now I'm challenging myself with adult stuff for me.
