This is not the post I planned to make for launch day, but here we are.

We are well aware of the tragic accident that claimed hundreds of lives and caused injury to more in Dhaka this past week. And here’s what we are doing to help:

Why donate?

While it’s a valid question that despite government assistance, why are donations necessary? Let’s not forget we are still a densely populated developing country and the government resources available may either be insufficient to meet the victims’ full needs or delayed due to bureaucracy. When people are in need, we can’t sit around and wait for the government to help. If we have the means to ourselves, then we will help.

However what’s important to remember through this is that our business, along with many others run solely through online advertising and so posting content on social media is crucial for our survival. While we’ve kept our promotional posts silent for the past few days, we will have to slowly start our regular posts soon. I’ve seen a lot of other businesses get lashed out for posting content at a time like this, which I completely understand is distressful, but I request everyone to think of how selling online is literally the only means of survival for online businesses like ours and the ONLY way we can keep paying our employees too.
