Bangladesh Bank's Payment Systems Department has doubled the maximum limit for sending remittances to individual mfs accounts, allowing expatriates to now send up to Tk2.5 lakh. Government or bank incentives will be separately sent to MFS accounts, and the previous limit of Tk1.25 lakh, set in December 2019, no longer applies. However, the maximum deposit limit in MFS accounts remains at Tk3 lakh. If an MFS account balance exceeds this limit after remittance receipt, no additional amount can be added until brought below Tk3 lakh.
