আমার লালঝুটি কাকাতুয়া পাখিটি
সেই কবে থেকে বসে আছে
আমার পথ চেয়ে ।

বেশি কিছু চায়নি সে
চুলের কালো ফিতে , কাঁচের চুড়ি দুই হাতে
কালোটিপ কপালে
এখনো দিতে পারি নাই তাকে ।

কী ভাবে বলবো
অভিশাপের কালো সাপ বর্বর লোলুপ হাসিতে
পেঁচিয়ে রেখেছে আমাকে
বিদ্বেষে আমার ফুরফুরে স্বপ্নগুলি গিলে ফেলে ।

আমি বাঁচতে চেয়েছিলাম হিংস্রতা থেকে বহুদূরে
নির্জন নগরে তাকে নিয়ে অবশেষে ।
