A small Bangkok solo tour

A little girl once asked a potter,
“How do I make a perfect pot?”

And this was the potter’s response.

“Don’t force it to be round,” he said.
“If you press too hard, it will collapse.
If you let go completely, it will lose its shape.

Just hold it steady.
Keep it close to the center.
Let the wheel teach you balance.”

The girl looked down at her shaking hands.
“What if it breaks?” she whispered.

The potter said,
“Then you begin again.
The clay doesn’t remember failure...
It only remembers how gently you held it.”

For a while they said nothing—
just the sound of the wheel turning
and the clay slowly taking shape.

The pot wobbled, but this time the girl didn’t try to fix it.
She just kept her hands soft.

The potter smiled,
“See, it doesn’t need to be perfect.
It only needs to feel safe in your hands.” ❤️

And this isn’t about pots.

And love is just like that.
It comes into your life with its imperfections,
its scars, and its marks.
You don’t shape it into perfection
you hold it gently, love it wholly,
and let time shape it with you.

Because when you love softly and patiently,
you’ll never regret how it grows in your hands. ❤️
