The United States has approved a $700 million sale of NASAMS air defense systems to Taiwan, reinforcing its commitment to Taiwan’s security amid rising regional tensions.
NASAMS (National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System) is a medium-range air defense system developed by RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies).
This is the second major weapons package for Taiwan in a week, bringing the total to approximately $1 billion.

THE devastating floods brought by typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) have cast a spotlight on real estate developments in Cebu’s mountainous areas, prompting renewed calls for stronger risk management in the property sector.
