This proverb reminds us that a woman’s strength does not fade in difficult seasons. She builds. She nurtures. She protects. She provides. Even when resources are scarce, even when circumstances are harsh - she endures.

This International Women’s Month, Her Armour celebrates the resilience, wisdom, and power of women who continue to hold families, communities, and nations together.

Throughout this month, we will be colouring Botswana’s history - highlighting the vital role women have played, and continue to play, in shaping our society, leadership, culture, and future. 🇧🇼

Her Armour Data Series: GBV in Botswana| Part 1.

Police in Gaborone are investigating a disturbing case in which two men, believed to be Zimbabwean nationals, allegedly r***d a 68-year-old woman and stole household electrical appliances valued at approximately P25,000.

According to sources, the incident occurred while the elderly woman was alone at her residence. Her 31-year-old son was reportedly at work at the time of the attack. The suspects are said to have forcefully entered the home before committing the assault and fleeing with several valuable items.

The victim is understood to be receiving medical and psychological support following the traumatic ordeal.
