When you’ve been so busy that your own horses decide to take the need for a massage into their own hands… but seriously, the cobbler’s children theory is so real.

As we are at the point of the year where some of our horses and ponies begin to look quite… well 🐷… it is important to keep an eye on your saddle fit alongside any fluctuations or increases in weight.
All of these little aspects can come together to create a longer lasting posture of compensation, even long after a saddle has been resolved.

🪻 Aromatherapy - a modality I don’t talk about enough on here!🪻
Did you know my program included education in aromatherapy using a variety of essential oils?
Essential oils may be used either through inhalation — helping influence the nervous system and emotional responses — or through topical application alongside massage to support muscle soreness, and recovery. Horses have an incredibly sensitive olfactory system, which can make aromatherapy a powerful tool when used safely.
*I use a biosecurity-conscious approach for incorporating aromatherapy inhalation! (Not shown in this photo of Scooter enjoying Lavender EO)
If you’re curious whether aromatherapy could benefit your horse during their next bodywork session, please reach out!

Mud season! I’ve just accepted that this is my life now 😅
Reminder - Please ensure that your horse is at the least dry and brushed off before appointments, I am not asking them to be squeaky clean, and I’m not afraid of a little dirt. But mud and wet spots can make my work less effective, and often times less comfortable for your horse. 🤎 Thank you!
Don’t forget to grab your ponies a pre-season tune up, limited space remains in April!
