These two procedures are often confused for each other, but they actually address completely different concerns. Here’s how I explain it to my patients:
A breast augmentation adds volume. If your breasts are smaller than you’d like or have lost fullness over time, an augmentation uses implants to restore or enhance size and projection. It’s about adding what isn’t there.
A breast lift repositions. If your breasts have good volume but have started to sag or sit lower than they used to, after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes. A lift reshapes and raises the existing tissue. It’s about restoring where things should be.
The key difference? An augmentation won’t fix drooping, and a lift won’t add meaningful volume. That’s why understanding your anatomy and your goals is everything.
Some of my patients benefit from both. A lift and an augmentation together, and that’s a conversation we have in consultation based on what your body actually needs.

Liposuction and a tummy tuck are not the same procedure, choosing the wrong one won’t give you the results you’re looking for. 👇
Here’s how I explain it to my patients:
Liposuction is for refining. If you have stubborn fat in specific areas and good skin elasticity, lipo can sculpt and contour beautifully. It’s precise, targeted, and works with what’s already there.
A tummy tuck goes deeper. If you’re dealing with excess skin, subcutaneous fat beneath the skin’s surface, or separated abdominal muscles — that’s where a tummy tuck comes in. It restores structure, not just shape.
Some of my patients need both, and that’s completely okay. But it all starts with understanding your anatomy and your goals.
