Not every brow lamination is meant to make brows bigger.

To me, laminations really serve three purposes: increasing vertical fullness, redirecting stubborn hairs that grow downward or out of place, and balancing asymmetry or sparseness.

By relaxing the hair, we can guide the direction it lays and subtly shift the “spine” of the brow — changing how it frames the face.

Every set is fully customized.

For this client, the goal wasn’t volume or tint. Just redirecting the hair while keeping her natural, soft elongated arch so the brows feel polished without overpowering her features.

When I was still working my restaurant job, a coworker who studied art told me:
“All kids draw when they’re young — most just don’t stick with it long enough to develop the skill.”

Nano has been my reminder to keep going.
Almost a year in, and more and more pieces continue to click.

I used to have a yoga teacher who would end every class by saying,

“May you know that you are already free.”

For the longest time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant. So one day I asked him.

He told me about leaving his corporate job. About choosing to teach. About realizing that his happiness mattered more than the expectations he — and everyone else — had placed on his life.

That conversation stayed with me.

Because for years, I felt like I never quite fit into what I thought I was supposed to be for other people. I’ve worked in multiple industries. I don’t have a post-secondary degree. I walked into the beauty industry “late,” carrying the quiet insecurity that maybe I was behind.

But I wasn’t behind.

Now at 33, I can see it clearly: we don’t need permission to pivot. And, we certainly don’t have to stay loyal to a version of ourselves that no longer fits.

You have more freedom than you think.

Maybe not to control everything — but enough to choose your next step.

And most often, that’s all you need.
