"Your brain is neuroplastic—it can change!
Even after years of trauma and chronic stress, healing is possible.
The key? Working with your body’s natural systems to restore balance.
This is where somatic therapy comes in.
CST can help you with deeply heal trauma."

In the intricacies of the human body lies a network mostly unheard of yet irresistibly fascinating—the fascia. This connective tissue weaves throughout our entire body, creating a matrix that holds everything together, from our muscles and bones to our vital organs. Think of it as the body’s scaffolding, providing structure and support.

But fascia’s influence extends beyond physical stability. While the brain in our heads orchestrates thoughts, the fascia plays a pivotal role as our « second brain, » a term initially labeled for the gut’s enteric nervous system, but increasingly relevant as we explore the complex way fascia communicates within our bodies. Fascia contains nerves that make it almost as sensitive as skin and is thought to be a key player in proprioception - the awareness of our body’s position in space.

So, how are fascia and emotions tied together? Just as a computer stores data, fascia retains emotional experiences. Ever felt your stomach « knot » in stress or your chest « tighten » with grief? Those sensations are the fascia responding to emotional stimuli. These responses aren’t just fleeting feelings; they can create patterns of tension that influence our mobility, posture, and even our susceptibility to injury.

Trauma, both physical and emotional, can be encoded in the fascia. When we face a traumatic event and the body’s fight or flight response is activated, the fascia tightens to protect vital structures. Normally, the fascia should relax once the threat has passed, but sometimes it remains tense, trapping the emotional experience and creating a lingering state of high alert and sensitivity.

Ready to delve into the connection between your fascia and emotions? Comment « community » below to embark on your emotional healing journey by joining our FREE FB Heart Rate Variability (HRV) group. Let’s explore together how movement can mend mind and body, unlocking a path to profound healing and well-being.
