The fabrics we use daily matter more than we think 🤍

We switched all our towels to 100% cotton and honestly, it’s something we should have done sooner.

The quality of the fabric that touches and rubs against our skin every single day matters.

Many towels are made with synthetic materials… which are essentially forms of microplastics. With repeated use and especially with heat from the dryer, these fabrics can break down and release even more microplastics into our environment and onto our skin.

Our skin is the largest organ of the body. It absorbs more than we realize. Yes, even what we repeatedly expose it to, like our towels.

Cotton, on the other hand, is breathable and more gentle on the skin, making it less favorable for bacteria to thrive compared to some synthetic fabrics.

At Botanical Care Plus, we believe in keeping things as clean and natural as possible when it comes to skincare. And that doesn’t stop at what you apply on your skin, the fabrics you use are part of that lifestyle too.

Les tissus que nous utilisons au quotidien ont plus d’impact qu’on le pense 🤍

Nous avons récemment remplacé toutes nos serviettes pour du 100 % coton, et honnêtement, c’est quelque chose que nous aurions dû faire bien avant.

La qualité du tissu qui touche et frotte notre peau chaque jour compte énormément.

Beaucoup de serviettes sont fabriquées à partir de matériaux synthétiques… qui sont essentiellement des formes de microplastiques. Avec une utilisation répétée, et surtout avec la chaleur de la sécheuse, ces tissus peuvent se dégrader et libérer encore plus de microplastiques dans notre environnement… et sur notre peau.

Notre peau est le plus grand organe du corps. Elle absorbe plus qu’on ne le pense. Oui, même ce à quoi on s’expose de façon répétée, comme nos serviettes.

Le coton, quant à lui, est respirant et plus doux pour la peau, ce qui le rend moins propice à la prolifération des bactéries comparativement à certains tissus synthétiques.

Chez Botanical Care Plus, nous croyons en des soins les plus naturels et épurés possible. Et cela ne s’arrête pas à ce que vous appliquez sur votre peau; les tissus que vous utilisez font aussi partie de ce mode de vie.
