Many many months ago, I chose some focus palettes for spring. I took photos of these palettes, then rotated some out and others in for summer. I meant to post about all of this, but it didn't happen.

But here's a look using a palette that I usually use in spring and summer. It's the x Hummingbird palette.

I took this photo in September 2025. It's only a few months, but in terms of change, it's a lifetime ago.

All I remember is that I used Synthesis. I like how the multicoloured sparkles really show up in the out-of-focus shots.

SINGLE SHADOW SPOTLIGHT: Aureate

Another post showcasing one shadow: this time it's Aureate.

In an indie makeup world with so many multichromes, it's hard to come up with a new one. In my collection, at least, Aureate is unique. The almost neon, lemon-yellow gold is so vibrant and eye-catching.

In retrospect, I don't like how the matte looks unblended; that's why I put a macro first in the carousel. I also love the sparkles in that first photo.

Are you excited for Halloween? I'd like to do some spooky looks, but who knows if I'll manage to fit any in.

I've been making a point choosing just one multichrome shimmer to use for looks, and putting it all over. I feel like I get "to know" the shadow better that way, if you know what I mean.

I don't recall what I used for the mattes, but the shimmer is Bronze Fountain.

This is the second and last look done with my PML Petalmorphosis dupe. I stand by my original statement: I like all of the shades but I'm just not that inspired by this particular combination.

Although I did this look quite a while ago now, I remember using the following:

Although I haven't been posting regularly, buying, wearing, looking at, and putting on makeup has been a big help lately. Sparkles and colour really lift my mood.

Although I like all of the shades individually in this palette, I don't feel terribly inspired by the colour story as a whole. That said, combining a bluer-toned green (Sydney Grace Galactic Muse) with a grungy greenish-gold (Clionadh Rune) is something I wouldn't usually think to do, but I quite like here.

SPRING & SUMMER FOCUS PALETTES: x HELA

During the spring, I pulled out a number of palettes that I wanted to use in particular; some were exclusively spring, while some made it into the summer picks as well. I think Hela works well for spring, summer, and fall, actually.

I used the palette at least twice (twice that I photographed, at least). I'm always tempted to keep to pinky purples or yellow greens. The more special shades in this palette (Double-sided and River) are quite lovely. Double-sided is along the lower lashline in the green/yellow look, while River is all over the lid in the pink/purple look.

I've been stress-shopping again :/ Be prepared for more new makeup posts.

Spotlight on Emblem

Here's a look using Emblem (swatched in previous post). I like the really cool-toned pink shift. It's all over the lid and lower lashline. I don't remember what I used for mattes now; this look is from a while ago.

Today is my mom's first treatment with the new drug. It's a targeted therapy, so instead of affecting all quickly dividing cells (like most chemo drugs do), this one should be internalized by the cancer cells and fewer healthy cells. As always, I appreciate any positive thoughts you can send my way.

Taking a go at posting again. I've been wearing makeup but just not in the mood to take photos, edit photos, or write captions.

I bought these back in April (I think?). They're the newest addition to my Clionadh shadow collection. I've used all of them except Mist.
