I know growing up I was sometimes hard on you, but it was only because you come from a long line of strong women. Your grandmother, who at 45 years old raised 14 children. Your great-grandmother, who endured the heartbreak of losing three children before the age of one during a pandemic and still went on to raise seven more with courage and grace.

That strength runs through you. You are the continuation of their resilience, brilliance, and spirit. You are proof that we have raised a powerful, compassionate woman ready to take on the world.
