🌸 Children are a Rizq (provision) from Allah ﷻ, a blessing He grants in His perfect wisdom.
📖 “To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatever He wills. He blesses whoever He wills with daughters, and blesses whoever He wills with sons, or grants both, sons and daughters, and leaves whoever He wills infertile. He is indeed All-Knowing, Most Capable.”
- Surah Ash-Shura, 42:49–50
🤲 While children are a divine gift, Allah has also blessed us with asbāb (means) for those who struggle with getting pregnant, including modern medical advancements.
💭 As Muslims, we are encouraged to use these means with faith, wisdom, and tawakkul (trust in Allah), ensuring every step we take remains halal and ethical.
🌿 In this spirit, we’re honored to share an insightful article by Dr. Sarah Azad, an OB/GYN serving the Muslim community and author of the MuslimOBGYN Blog.
✨ In her piece, Dr. Azad explains the basics of infertility, outlines available medical options, and highlights the Islamic perspectives guiding these important decisions.

🧕🏽 How to Advocate for Respectful Healthcare as a Muslim Woman?
Your health is precious, your comfort is important, your faith and your principles deserve respect. 🌿
Unfortunately, not all providers are trained in cultural or religious sensitivity, especially in non-Muslim countries. That’s why it’s powerful to know how to speak up for your needs:
✨ Quick tips:
✔️ Ask for a female doctor or request a female chaperone.
✔️ Keep hijab/modest clothing on whenever possible.
✔️ Request privacy (curtains, fewer people in the room).
✔️ Ask questions before any exam or procedure.
✔️ Speak up if you feel uncomfortable — it’s your right.
💡 Remember: advocating for yourself isn’t confrontation. It’s protecting your dignity while getting the care you deserve.

🕋✨ Hajj is around the corner, and as we prepare for this sacred journey, let’s remember: the most important thing to pack isn’t in your suitcase — it’s in your heart.
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
{وَتَزَوَّدُوا۟ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ ٱلزَّادِ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ}
“And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is Taqwa.”
(Qur’an – Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:197)
🌿 Taqwa is our greatest provision, but we also need to pack wisely for our physical comfort, worship, and well-being, to be able to meet the physical demands of the Hajj, especially as women navigating this journey.
🎒 We just published a Hajj Packing Guide for Women, covering:
Worship & clothing essentials
Menstrual care & hygiene
Health tips & practical items
📝 Available now on our blog, check the link in bio to read the full guide.
May Allah accept the Hajj of all pilgrims 🤍
