A nurturing oasis for women where compassionate, trauma-informed care meets restorative massage โš˜

Buccal Facial Massage is often marketed as a natural alternative to Botox & fillers, but my approach is different. My sessions are grounded in intention and guided by a trauma-informed lens. To me, facial massage is a sacred, magical practice centered on how you ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ, not how you look.

Here are some of the many benefits:

โŠ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ฎ โ€“ Emotional experiences get locked in the body and often manifest as jaw tension.

Gentle, intentional work in the jaw helps shift the body from fight-or-flight into a deep state of relaxation.

โŠ ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ง๐— ๐—๐—— & ๐—•๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜…๐—ถ๐˜€๐—บ โ€“ Buccal massage releases deep muscular tension from within the mouth, which helps to ease symptoms of TMJ dysfunction and bruxism by improving alignment and relaxation of your jaw.

When working the upper part of the face, buccal massage helps
reduce pressure and congestion around your sinuses by stimulating lymphatic drainage and improving circulation in the facial muscles.

โŠ ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—˜๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด โ€“ Buccal massage supports emotional processing by releasing tension stored in the jaw, an area often linked to suppressed emotions. This allows your nervous system to regulate and body to return to a state of ease.

Do you suffer from excessive stress and/or anxiety? Massage can help!

The human body is designed to be keenly aware of negative circumstances and consequences. The brain gives more attention to negative experiences over positive ones because negative events pose a chance of danger. Our bodies are designed to respond to these threats by either fighting or fleeing. Both of those actions require extra levels of Cortisol, known as the โ€œstress hormone,โ€ which suppresses the immune system and increases blood sugar levels to keep our muscles ready for the fight or flight response. Sustaining higher Cortisol levels can lead to digestive problems, headaches, insomniaโ€ฆetc.

Thatโ€™s where Massage comes in. Multiple studies have shown that Massage Therapy lowers Cortisol levels, increases Dopamine and Serotonin (our feel-good hormones), and lowers excitatory hormones like Norepinephrine and Epinephrine, eliminating the aforementioned digestive problems, headaches, insomniaโ€ฆetc. Unlike many Pharmaceuticals used to treat GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and various other disorders that increase excitatory hormones, when it comes to Massotherapy, there are no possible negative side effects.

As an RMT that has been living with GAD for over five years, I have first hand experience with the positive effects of Massage Therapy on the nervous system both as a practitioner and a client. I work in a slow and connected manner in order to build trust and expectation between my client and myself. I ensure that my massages chemically support a healthier state of being.

I strive to promote awareness on this subject in hopes that more people will view Massotherapy as an essential part of psychological health maintenance rather than a luxurious indulgence.
