Let’s talk about neutralizing… 🤎

Neutralizing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Every set of brows is different and treatment depends on the amount of pigment, saturation, and how the brows have healed over time.

If previous brows are too dark, heavily saturated, or have a lot of old pigment built up, laser tattoo removal is often the safest and best option before creating new brows.

However, if the old pigment is light and there isn’t much colour left in the skin, neutralization can help warm up ashy or grey tones and create a better base.

This client was a great candidate for neutralization because there was minimal pigment remaining. ✨

Remember: not every grey brow can be corrected with neutralization alone. Every case requires an individual assessment to determine the best approach.

My client had her brows done previously by another artist, and she had to get Laser brow removal in order to get some natural looking Brows and she decided to get them redone by me today.

We wanted to make sure that we’re not using any colours that are too dark and not oversaturating her eyebrows so that they look undetectable once healed.

I love the soft front with the nano hair strokes, and then the definition towards the ends of the Brows.

“How long does permanent makeup actually last? 🤔”

This is one of the questions I get asked often.

Permanent makeup usually lasts up to 3 years, but everyone’s skin is different.

✨ Oily skin tends to fade pigment more quickly, which means you may need touch-ups more often.

✨ Dry or normal skin usually holds pigment longer, so results often last closer to the 3-5 yr mark

Your lifestyle also plays a role. Things like frequent sun exposure, swimming, sweating, skincare products with active ingredients, and regular exfoliation can all affect how quickly your permanent makeup fades.

The goal isn’t for your brows to stay the exact same forever - it’s for them to fade gradually and beautifully over time so they can be refreshed as your features and style evolve.

The type of pigment also plays a role in how they heal and how long they last.
