We are so grateful for great friends!!

5 Months Post-Op

A year ago vs. today.

This past year has changed me in ways I never expected.

In the last 5 months I have:
✨ healed from major surgery
✨ learned my body all over again
✨ navigated fear, exhaustion, frustration, and recovery
✨ gone back to work
✨ started focusing on my health again
✨ dealt with breast screening scares
✨ had sore days, emotional days, strong days, and “just survive the day” days
✨ still shown up for family, friends, events, and life
✨ laughed, cried, healed, and kept going

And Sunday? Sunday, I spent over an hour in a hotel pool with my niece making memories and moving my body in a way that actually felt GOOD.

Recovery hasn’t been linear. Some days my body still reminds me to slow down. Some days I still get frustrated.

But 5 months ago I was in surgery. Today I’m healing, living, swimming, laughing, and slowly becoming myself again.

That matters.

To anyone else recovering from something hard:

Be gentle with yourself. Healing takes longer than people think, physically and emotionally.
One day at a time.

Friday night we celebrated Jasmine stepping into her 30s era with a fun “RIP to my 20s” party 😂🎉

This was such a great reminder that special events don’t have to be over-the-top to feel meaningful. Good people, themed details, desserts, laughs, photos, and a room full of love can create such a fun atmosphere 💚

I specialize in Wedding Day Coordination, stepping in so you can actually enjoy your day, while I handle timelines, vendors, and all the behind-the-scenes details.

This journey is helping me grow Radiant Moments by Tammy | BDLuxe, where I’ll be helping create beautiful celebrations, whether they’re in-person events or virtual experiences.

Yesterday marked 2 months post-op, and I don’t think I could have asked for a more meaningful milestone.

Yesterday, I officially received my certificates for:
✨ Certified Event & Wedding Planner
✨ Certified Event Decor Specialist
✨ Certified Virtual Event Planner
Along the way, I earned 4 Awards of Excellence.

When I started recovery, I made a decision that I wasn’t going to let this season just “pass.” I wanted to use the time to grow, personally and professionally. There were hard days, tired days, and emotional days, but there was also learning, focus, and purpose.

Finishing these certifications before returning to work was a goal I quietly set for myself. Today, I get to say I did it.

Radiant Moments by Tammy continues to grow, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead — especially with everything coming for CFL Fans Fight Cancer and the future events I get to help create.

Healing, growth, discipline, and a whole lot of heart. 🤍

This chapter changed me, and I have a feeling it’s only the beginning...
