After a busy few weeks back at the salon and returning to normal life, Im finally taking a moment to reflect and share a bit of our experience at Redken Symposium!

2 days, 25 classes and over 6000 industry professionals from all over the world joined to share our passion for learning. I can’t describe the energy in the ballroom.

It’s so much more than just education, it’s about inspiration and connection. Just walking through the forum you pass so many creative, talented people, all smiling and complimenting each other. Even when we aren’t behind the chair, we still strive to make people feel beautiful, seen and understood. It’s not a face we put on for our clients, it’s who we are and why we are devoted to this industry.

Thank you to all our Urban Salon teammates and guests for always supporting us and our dreams, allowing us to travel the world to learn with the best in the industry. It’s a gift we hope to keep on giving.

What’s trending for summer 2026? 😎

BRUNETTES- “ Sombre”, or subtle ombré. Dimensional brunette and bronde are still trending, but expect to see softer contrast and more subtle color melts.

BLONDES- Golden blondes. Subtle warmth and dimension create the perfect summer blonde. Gold tones keep your blonde bright and shiny!

REDHEADS- Lived in copper. Soft copper, ginger, and strawberry blonde tones for a lighter, lower maintenance color.

STYLING- Hair Up. With higher temperatures, comes higher humidity. Perfect excuse to try some new hairstyles to beat the heat. Loose effortless updos, and slick back ponytails create an elevated look.

BOBS- short hair and blunt bobs are still trending, but adding layers will create movement and volume. Less sleek, and more texture. Try adding soft waves.

ACCESSORIES- claw clips, hair pins, and headbands for a simple way to put your hair up and add a fun element to any look.
