Unlike laser hair removal, electrolysis targets and destroys the hair follicle. It can be used on any skin and any hair type, and is the only FDA-Approved method of permanent hair removal.
Electrolysis session length is determined by the amount of hair in the targeted area. Initial sessions take longer as all hairs are in various stages of growth, as the treatment progresses sessions get shorter as the hairs are targeted in their first growth phase.
How long does it take to remove a follicle permanently? Because of the many variables from individual to individual, it’s impossible to give an exact length of time, but 28-24 months is the general timeline.
