One of the most common skincare myths is that pores “open” with steam and “close” with cold water.

The truth? They don’t.

Pores don’t have muscles, so they can’t physically open or close. What heat can do is soften oil and debris inside the pore, making it easier to cleanse. Cold temperatures may temporarily reduce swelling, making pores appear smaller—but they don’t actually close them.

The appearance of your pores is influenced by factors like:

✨ Genetics
✨ Oil production
✨ Skin elasticity
✨ Sun damage
✨ Proper skincare

Understanding how your skin really works is the first step to taking better care of it🤍

Sometimes, the biggest transformation isn’t about removing a lot of hair—it’s about revealing smoother, cleaner-looking skin. ✨

Even fine back hair can affect the overall appearance of the skin, making it look less even. A professional back wax helps reveal a smoother-looking complexion while leaving the skin feeling fresh and refreshed.

It’s all about the details. 🤍

If I had to climb the Empire State Building to tell you one thing, it would be this:

Healthy skin requires consistency. ☀️

Beautiful skin isn’t created overnight. It is the result of daily habits, professional treatments, and consistency over time.

✨ Wear your SPF daily.
✨ Exfoliate and moisturize regularly.
✨ Stay consistent with your skincare routine.
✨ Invest in professional treatments when needed.

Because your future skin will thank you. 🤍

What is one skincare habit you never skip?

A lot of people believe that having healthy skin is simply a matter of luck or genetics.

While genetics certainly play a role, daily habits can make a significant difference in the appearance and overall health of your skin.

✨ Consistent skincare
✨ Sun protection
✨ Professional treatments when needed
✨ Proper hydration
✨ Healthy lifestyle habits

Small habits practiced consistently over time can lead to healthier, stronger-looking skin.

Your skin is an investment, not an expense. 💛

Bikini waxing ✨

Some redness after waxing is completely normal and expected. This temporary reaction occurs because the hair is being removed directly from the follicle and usually subsides within a few hours.

Proper hair growth, good technique, and consistent aftercare all play an important role in achieving smoother results 🤍

One of the most common reasons clients don’t get the results they expect from waxing is not allowing enough hair growth before their appointment.

If you’ve been shaving, you may need to wait 3 to 4 weeks before waxing. For best results, the hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice.

Giving your hair enough time to grow helps ensure better hair removal, less breakage, and smoother results ✨

Patience pays off when it comes to waxing 🤍

Underarm waxing ✨

A small area that can make a big difference. Smooth underarms, less daily shaving, and longer-lasting results 🤍

You may occasionally notice tiny pinpoint bleeding during waxing. This can happen when the hair is coarse, deeply rooted, or after frequent shaving, and it is usually a completely normal response of the hair follicle.

Life happens... and sometimes we go a little longer between wax appointments. 😊

If your hair is a bit longer than ideal, don’t worry! I can do a quick trim before your Brazilian wax to help make your experience as comfortable as possible.

No judgment here — just professional care and smooth results. ✨🩷

The finishing touch. ✨

After hair removal, I love finishing this Brazilian Wax Skin Renewal Ritual with a soothing hydrogel mask from Bushbalm Skincare Co.

Designed to help calm, cool, and hydrate the skin after waxing, it’s the perfect way to leave the skin feeling refreshed and cared for. 🤍

One of the most common questions I get is: “How long should my hair be before waxing?”

For the best results, the hair should be about the size of a grain of rice.

If it’s too short, the wax may not be able to grip the hair properly.

If it’s too long, the service may feel more uncomfortable than necessary.
