I appreciate all of the well wishes as I close this chapter.

Thank you to everyone for their support! I've learned that I live in an incredible community that believes in supporting small businesses and thus, supporting each other. So many of you reached out to express your compassion and disappointment in my closing my retail store. So many offered help. Your outreach means so much to me! 💛

I have not thought of what lies ahead for Chic and Unique, but I know that it will be awesome!

It is with a very heavy heart that I've decided to close my doors.

At least I tried.

I'm extremely proud of myself for opening a retail store given all of the many challenges that being a small business owner endures (COVID aside). It has been a wonderful experience. I've met so many wonderful people and learned A LOT!

When I was asked why I would open during a pandemic, I was confident that things were turning around, that the worst was over and we were on the way to things as they were. I was, however, incorrect.

I can't blame the entire decision to close the store on COVID, yet it has been in large part, the catalyst.

I truly believe that our wonderful town needs more small businesses to adorn our downtown and I hope to see that in the near future. I will continue to shop local and support small businesses. I encourage everyone to do the same.

It's not the end for Chic and Unique as I will continue doing what I do in a different way. When life gives you lemons....
