My Simple Skincare Routine ✨
One of the biggest things I see in the treatment room?
People are using too many products, especially in the morning.
More products doesn’t equal better skin.
In fact, layering multiple active ingredients often leads to irritation, a damaged skin barrier, breakouts, excess oil, redness, and sensitivity.
My goal has never been perfect skin.
My goal is healthy skin.
And honestly? My routine is pretty boring... because consistency works.
☀️ Morning Routine
✔ Wash my hands
✔ Colorescience Barrier Pro Serum Spray on my face and neck
✔ Colorescience Eye Cream
(I give both a minute to absorb.)
✔ Colorescience Flex SPF (my daily tinted sunscreen)
✔ Makeup if I’m wearing it (mascara, blush, bronzer) and a light dusting of setting powder.
That’s it.
No face wash.
No exfoliating acids.
No retinol.
No vitamin C.
No harsh acne products.
I’m still oily and acne-prone—even at 42. 🤦🏼‍♀️
My skin doesn’t need to be stripped every morning. Over-cleansing can actually encourage your skin to produce even more oil, leaving you chasing the problem instead of fixing it.
🌙 Night Routine
✔ Brush my teeth before washing my face (trust me on this one 😉).
✔ Wash my hands.
✔ First cleanse:
GlyMed Mega Cream Cleanser to melt away makeup, sunscreen, and the day.
Rinse well.
✔ Second cleanse:
Colorescience Barrier Pro Cleanser.
Rinse well.
✔ Colorescience Barrier Pro Serum Spray.
✔ Colorescience Eye Cream.
✔ Moisturizer:
I rotate depending on how my skin feels.
• ClearChoice Skin Rehab when my skin feels dehydrated (usually when I haven’t been drinking enough water... guilty 🙋🏼‍♀️) or during our Alberta winters.
OR
• Colorescience Barrier Pro Moisturizer for everyday barrier support.
Weekly Extras (1–2 times per week)
✨ ClearChoice Mini Facial or PEC Exfoliant
✨ GlyMed Mattifying Sulfur Mask when my skin feels congested or extra oily.

A little weekend update 💙
Many of you know my son, Brayden, recently broke his collarbone. After a long wait, he finally had surgery today.
I’m going to be stepping away from work for the weekend to focus on taking care of him while he recovers.
