After the farmers market yesterday, I headed out to the farm to uncover the rest of the lavender. It was a brilliant surprise to also uncover the strong lavender smell that was being protected over winter. It takes a bit for the lavender to wake up in Alberta climates. Although our amazing friend dandelion had a heads start under the straw. 🥰
Coyote Herbal and Home to Home Herbal will be set up at the Westlock's Thursday Community Farmers Market today 11-3! Come on down to get your locally made goods, lots of awesome vendors! We also have a draw you can enter to win Farmers Market gift cards! Hope to see a few friendly faces there :)

Red Clover & Your Menstrual Cycle 🩸☘️ Let's talk about it!
Red Clover is naturally rich in minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and trace elements that many of us simply don’t get enough of from modern grocery store diets, where soil depletion and long-distance food transport can lower mineral content.
These minerals help nourish the body during the time when hormone shifts can leave us feeling depleted, crampy, or emotionally tender. Magnesium and calcium in particular support muscle relaxation, which can help ease uterine tension and cramps, while the plant’s natural compounds (often called phytoestrogens) gently support hormonal balance as estrogen levels fluctuate before your period.
Red clover has also traditionally been used as a “blood nourishing” herb, meaning it helps replenish minerals the body uses during menstruation and supports overall circulation and flow. Sipping the tea in the days leading up to your cycle can feel like giving your body a little mineral boost right when it needs it most.
Drinking red clover tea for 5–7 days before your cycle can be a really gentle way to support your body as it prepares for menstruation. I tried Red Clover tea before my period and have been religious to it ever since. It truly has changed how I navigate the week before my bleed, and has dramatically changed my Day 1 & 2 for the better. It’s a simple ritual, but a powerful one — nourishing the body with what it may be quietly asking for. 🌿☕
I have some 2025 Red Clover still in stock, please let me know if you would like to try some out. Thankfully red and white clover grow abundantly in this area, there is certainly no shortage if you are able to pick your own.

Horsetail Rosemary Lavender Hair Mist is back in stock! 100% locally sourced, wildcrafted and prepared in uninspected lands & home. (The way I like it 😉)
Ingredients: Horsetail, Rosemary, Lavender & Aqua. THAT’S IT.
Horsetail is rich in silica, a natural mineral that helps support strong, healthy hair. Silica plays a role in strengthening the hair shaft and supporting the structure of hair strands, which can help reduce breakage and improve overall shine and resilience.
Rosemary has long been loved for hair care because it helps stimulate circulation to the scalp. Better circulation means hair follicles receive more nutrients and oxygen, which can support healthy hair growth and encourage fuller, stronger strands over time.
Lavender adds a soft, calming scent while also offering gentle cleansing properties. It helps keep the scalp feeling fresh and balanced, making the mist not only nourishing but also beautifully aromatic.
Together, these botanicals create a light, refreshing mist that supports scalp health, encourages strong hair, and leaves your hair smelling softly herbal and lovely. 🌿✨
I created this just to try something out, and after a month (even a couple weeks) I noticed major changes in my hair. Even my hair dresser asked what I was doing differently!!
I run a bring it back bottle system, as I do everything I possibly can to reduce waste
$15 / 4oz bottle
$12 if you bring bottle back

Hello community!
I’m working on providing as many locally harvested herbs to the Westlock area as one girl possibly can. This all started last year with my small lavender farm just outside of Pickardville. I quickly realized there’s a strong demand from people who value their health and the use of local goods.
Since then, I’ve been harvesting around the Westlock area, all the way up to beautiful Fort Assiniboine, and I’m excited to see how this continues to grow.
This spring I’m looking for a few local spots where I could forage plants and herbs—ideally forested areas and must be away from any sprayed fields.
If you, or someone you know, has land they wouldn’t mind me respectfully and intentionally exploring a few times this spring and summer, I would be overjoyed. 🌿

How important is it to you to use local products? And why?
