*Theme*: The Causes of Spiritual Weakness (2)
*Bible Text* : Matthew 4:3-4
3' During that time, the devil came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread."
4' But Jesus said to him, "No! The Scriptures says, ' People do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
*Reflection*: The second cause of spiritual weaknesses is to be wordless. The word of God is the instrument for our spiritual growth, 1 Peter 2:2.
By the word of God, the whole universe and all in it was made by God.
There is power in the word of God. Throughout Scriptures the word of God did many things and is still continuing to do them today.
Satan knew that Jesus is the Son of God. He came testing Him after He had fasted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. He wanted Jesus to display the power of God in Him but Jesus told, it is written that man doesn't live on bread alone but by every word of the Father.
Every word written in the Bible has a purpose. The word is sharper than any double edged sword. If you are believer and you carry the light of God's word in you, you carry spiritual strength to live the Christian race and the strength to overcome the world and the devil. We ought to read, listen study and meditate God's word daily. With it we will be strong and we will live a victorious Christian life.
When Satan kept tempting Jesus, He kept quoting the Scriptures. Don't just have a head knowledge of God's word. Believe them, obey them and they will help you and I to live in righteousness and victory over all enemies.
*Prayer*: Father thank You for Your word. Lord I ask for grace to live by every word that comes from Your mouth. May Your word continue to dismantle every agenda of Satan against me and other believers in Jesus Name.

*Theme*: Thank God For Things He Provided for us that we didn't ask Him for.
*Bible Text*: 1 Kings 3:11, 13
11' So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, ...
13' Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for- both riches and honour- so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.
*Reflection*: What God gives His children is always more than what they ask for. Many believers spend time crying over the things they didn't receive from God and forget to thank God for the many things they received from God without asking Him for.
Think of the air we breathe, do you know that there are many in hospitals paying for oxygen to breathe on hourly bases? Think about your security. Do you know there are many with body guards who are not still sleeping? Think of your medical bills for the whole year and visit someone who has been going to the hospital for medical challenges and compare the bills.
King Solomon only asked God for wisdom and a discerning heart and the Lord blessed him with what he didn't ask for; long life, wealth , honour and protection from enemies.
The Lord assured him that if he will obey his statutes and commands like his father David, long life will be his portion.
Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to us. Seeking God's interest and the interest of others first before our own has brought us countless blessings. Let us thank God for that.
*Prayer*: Father thank You for Your word. Thank You for the countless number of things You did in my life even when I didn't ask for. Take all the glory Abba Father in Jesus Name.

*Thème* : Remerciez Dieu pour les choses qu'il nous a fournies et que nous ne lui avons pas demandées.
*Texte biblique* : 1 Rois 3:11, 13
11' Alors Dieu lui dit : Puisque tu as demandé cela, non pas une longue vie ou des richesses pour toi-même, et que tu n'as pas demandé la mort de tes ennemis, mais du discernement dans l'administration de la justice,...
13' De plus, je te donnerai ce que tu n'as pas demandé, des richesses et de l'honneur, afin que pendant ta vie tu n'aies pas d'égal parmi les rois.
*Réflexion* : Ce que Dieu donne à ses enfants est toujours plus que ce qu'ils demandent. De nombreux croyants passent du temps à pleurer sur les choses qu'ils n'ont pas reçues de Dieu et oublient de remercier Dieu pour les nombreuses choses qu'ils ont reçues de Dieu sans le Lui demander.
Pensez à l’air que nous respirons, savez-vous qu’il y en a beaucoup dans les hôpitaux qui paient l’oxygène pour respirer toutes les heures ? Pensez à votre sécurité. Savez-vous qu'il y en a beaucoup avec des gardes du corps qui ne dorment pas encore ? Pensez à vos factures médicales pour toute l’année et rendez visite à quelqu’un qui s’est rendu à l’hôpital pour des problèmes médicaux et comparez les factures.
Le roi Salomon a seulement demandé à Dieu de la sagesse et un cœur perspicace et le Seigneur l'a béni avec ce qu'il n'a pas demandé ; longue vie, richesse, honneur et protection contre les ennemis.
Le Seigneur lui a assuré que s’il obéissait à ses statuts et à ses commandements comme son père David, une longue vie serait sa part.
Matthieu 6 : 33 nous dit de rechercher premièrement le royaume de Dieu et sa justice et toutes les autres choses nous seront données par surcroît. Rechercher l’intérêt de Dieu et celui des autres avant le nôtre nous a apporté d’innombrables bénédictions. Rendons grâce à Dieu pour cela.
