Causes of Gastritis
Gastritis occurs when the stomach's protective mucus barrier is weakened or damaged, allowing digestive acids to damage the lining
Key causes include:

Helicobacter pylori : A bacterial infection, commonly acquired, that is a leading cause of chronic gastritis.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Regular use of ibuprofen, aspirin, or naproxen can cause both acute and chronic gastritis.

Alcohol Consumption: Excessive alcohol can irritate and erode the stomach lining.

Autoimmune Disorders: The immune system attacks healthy stomach cells.

Stress: Severe illness, surgery, or injury.
