On this day, June 26, 2003, Cameroon and the entire football world lost one of its greatest heroes, Marc-Vivien Foé.

He tragically collapsed during the FIFA Confederations Cup semi-final while proudly wearing the green, red and yellow of Cameroon. Though his life was cut short at just 28 years old, his legacy continues to inspire generations of football lovers across the world.

Marc-Vivien Foé was more than just a footballer. He was a fearless warrior, a humble leader, and a proud son of Cameroon who always gave everything for his country whenever he stepped onto the pitch.

E even talk say dem go carry Cameroon flag 🇨🇲 come road, begin shout against people wey dey drink beer 🍺 and whisky 🥃, because according to am, if government fit ban Mbanga, then beer and whisky sef suppose face the same treatment.

Donaldo no stop there. E talk say Buea get bigger problems pass Mbanga. According to am, hookup don increase, plenty small girls dey belle, abortions don too much, but society dey only focus on Mbanga while other serious problems dey continue.

But make we talk true. This na exactly why education and awareness dey important. Plenty people never really understand the danger wey substances like Mbanga, Bullet and Wake Up fit cause, especially for young people and the society.

At the same time, Donaldo raise one point wey people fit think about. Problems like hookup, careless s*x, teenage pregnancy and other bad habits too deserve attention. Society no suppose close eye for one problem while another one dey spoil our youths.

If we really want better future for Cameroon, we no fit fight only one problem. We need tackle drug abuse, bad behavior, youth welfare, education and public health together.

DR Congo’s legendary superfan Michel Nkuka Mboladinga, popularly known as Lumumba Vea, has sparked global conversation after making a symbolic protest during DR Congo’s World Cup match against Colombia.

According to reports, as the match was being broadcast worldwide, Lumumba Vea covered his mouth and mimicked a gun pointed at his head—a gesture many interpreted as a call for the world to pay attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in eastern DR Congo.

The conflict has lasted for years, forcing millions of people to flee their homes while countless others have lost their lives.

For many Congolese, the protest carried a simple but powerful message: while millions around the world are enjoying football, thousands of families back home are still living through the horrors of war.

Lumumba Vea is well known for using football as a platform to speak for his country. During previous Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, he became famous for dressing like Patrice Lumumba, DR Congo’s first Prime Minister and independence hero, standing motionless throughout matches to honour his legacy.

Patrice Lumumba played a key role in leading DR Congo to independence from Belgian colonial rule in 1960 before he was assassinated less than a year later during a period of political instability. More than 60 years later, his legacy continues to inspire many Congolese.

For Lumumba Vea, football is more than just 90 minutes of action—it is a stage where the voices of millions who are suffering can be heard.

Several youths who were allegedly involved in consuming hard drugs, together with people suspected of selling the drugs, were reportedly caught in Cameroon.

According to eyewitness reports, angry residents apprehended the suspects before handing them over to the police for further investigation. During the incident, some of the suspects were physically assaulted by members of the crowd before law enforcement intervened.

The abuse of hard drugs continues to be a serious concern, especially among young people. Many promising lives have been destroyed by addiction, while families and communities continue to suffer the consequences.

No matter the allegations, it’s important that suspects are handed over to the authorities so the law can take its course, rather than being subjected to mob justice.
