I know. I have been quiet. 👀

Life happened — the way it sometimes does — loudly and all at once. But I am back. And honestly? I missed this space and I missed you more than I expected.

I have not been away from skincare. I have been living it, learning it, and gathering so much to bring back to you.

So if you are still here — thank you. That means more than you know. 🤍

New content is coming. Real, honest, relatable skincare talk — the kind that makes you stop scrolling and say “this is literally me.”

We are just getting started. 🤍✨

*I Have A Skincare Routine But I Still Look Tired And Older Than I Should*

You have a routine. You are consistent. And someone still asks if you are tired — when you just had eight hours of sleep. That one stings.

A skincare routine alone cannot outwork certain things. And I say this not to discourage you — but because I think you deserve to know the full picture.

Chronic stress ages your skin faster than almost anything else. Cortisol breaks down collagen — the protein responsible for firmness and elasticity. No moisturizer replaces what cortisol destroys. Poor sleep does the same. Skin repair happens at night. If your sleep is broken or insufficient, your skin is not getting its recovery time no matter how good your night cream is.

Dehydration — not just from water but from alcohol, excess caffeine, and a low-nutrient diet — shows up as dullness, sunken under-eyes, and fine lines that appear deeper than they are.

And sun exposure without adequate SPF accelerates collagen breakdown and pigmentation changes that make skin look older faster than almost any other single factor.

Your routine is doing something. But if the lifestyle around it is working against you, the routine can only do so much.

You are not ageing badly. You are probably just exhausted — and doing your best. Skincare is one piece of the puzzle. Rest, nourishment, and stress management are the pieces that make the routine actually work. You deserve all of it.

Have you ever wondered and ask yourself “Why Does My Skin Always Gets Worse During My Period?”

Here’s is why ; 👇👇

In the week before your period, progesterone peaks and estrogen drops. Progesterone stimulates your sebaceous glands — which means more oil. More oil means more congestion. And because estrogen is low, your skin’s ability to stay hydrated and calm is also reduced. The result? Breakouts, sensitivity, and dullness all arriving at the exact same time.

For women with darker skin tones, this is often even more visible because every breakout has a higher chance of leaving a dark mark behind — which means the cycle of breakout and hyperpigmentation feels endless.

Here is what you can do. In the week leading up to your period, add a gentle salicylic acid product to help keep pores clear. Reduce heavy or pore-clogging products. Increase your hydration — both drinking water and your moisturizer. And be gentler with yourself. Your skin is not failing. It is responding to a hormonal shift that is completely beyond your control.

You are not imagining it. You are not unlucky. You are hormonal — and that is completely, entirely normal. Your skin just needs a little extra grace in that week. And so do you.

🤔Have you ever wondered; “That Product Works For Everyone Else. Why Is My Skin Reacting To It?”

Everyone in the comments is raving about it. Five stars everywhere. You try it — and your face breaks out within three days. You start wondering if your skin is just broken.

Your skin is not broken. But it is individual — in a way that the skincare industry does not always acknowledge.

A product that works for someone else may contain an ingredient your skin is specifically sensitive to. Fragrance is the number one culprit — it is in most popular products and it is the leading cause of contact dermatitis.
Essential oils, certain alcohols, and even some plant extracts that feel natural and safe cause genuine reactions in a significant number of people.
Your skin microbiome — the community of bacteria that lives on your skin — is also unique to you. What disrupts someone else’s microbiome may be completely fine for yours, and vice versa.
And if your skin barrier is already compromised — from over-exfoliation, from stress, from a previous bad reaction — it will react to things a healthy barrier would handle without issue. The problem is not the product. The problem is the barrier receiving it.
This is also why influencer recommendations and viral products need to be taken with caution. Their skin and your skin are not the same.

Your skin reacting is not failure. It is information. It is your skin telling you — not for me. And that is actually your skin doing exactly what it should. Let us find what is actually for you. 🤍

Part 2

01/04/2026

We are back with Part 2 — and honestly this one hits even harder than the first. 🤍
Because these are the things that would have completely changed how I approached my skin from the very beginning. The wrong layering order. The difference between purging and breaking out. Why SPF is doing more for your skin than any expensive serum ever will.
Nobody tells you these things. And so you spend months — sometimes years — doing everything with good intentions and still wondering why your skin is not responding.
If Part 1 resonated with you, Part 2 is going to make even more sense. Watch it, save it, and share it with someone whose skincare journey needs a reset. 🤍
Because great skin is not about spending more. It is about knowing more. And that is exactly what Glow Nurse is here for.

Here are Six other points I didn’t mentioned in the video;

1. Your skin type can change over time
2. Layering products in the wrong order cancels out their benefits
3. Purging and breaking out are not the same thing
4. SPF is your most powerful anti-aging product — not retinol
5. Drinking water hydrates your body, your moisturizer hydrates your skin
6. Patience is the most underrated ingredient in skincare.

Let’s be honest — most of us didn’t start skincare with a guide. We figured it out as we went, picked up habits that felt right, and wondered why our skin still wasn’t cooperating. The problem is that some of the most damaging skincare habits are the ones that feel completely harmless, or even helpful, in the moment.
Washing your face with hot water feels like a deep clean. Rubbing it dry feels efficient. Skipping moisturizer when you’re oily feels logical. But your skin is reacting to every single one of these habits in ways you might not notice until the damage is already done — a weakened skin barrier, persistent breakouts, premature fine lines, and a dull, uneven complexion that no product seems to fix.
Here’s what nobody tells you: skincare isn’t just about what products you use. It’s about the daily habits that either support or sabotage everything you’re applying to your skin. You could have the most expensive routine in the world and still see zero results if the basics are working against you.
The good news is that none of these habits are hard to fix. They just require awareness. Once you know what’s quietly hurting your skin, you can make small, simple adjustments that compound into real, visible results over time. No expensive products required — just better habits.
Save this post, go through each point, and be honest with yourself about which ones you’re guilty of. Your skin is not the problem. Your habits might be. 🧴✨
