This giant astronaut statue is called "What's Next", a nearly 7-meter-tall artwork by American artist Brendan Murphy. It was installed in 2023 at Aker Brygge, one of the most popular waterfront districts in Oslo.

The astronaut symbolizes humanity's journey into the unknown and asks a simple but powerful question: "What's Next?" The blue color was chosen to reflect the blue found in the Norwegian flag, connecting Norway's history with its future.

Interestingly, Aker Brygge was once a shipyard and industrial area before being transformed into the modern cultural and business district we see today. The statue celebrates that remarkable transformation and the city's forward-looking spirit.
