100 years ago, Belgian – French explorer, Spiritualist — Alexandra David-Néel embarked on a legendary journey to Lhasa, Tibet — a feat that cemented her legacy among the greatest explorers in history.

Born in Paris in 1868, at a time when women were bound by convention, Alexandra broke free from the constraints of her era. After a 14 years‘ journey across Asia, in 1924, she disguised as a beggar, braving treacherous paths and relentless obstacles to become the first Western woman to step into the sacred, forbidden city of Lhasa.

A seeker of wisdom and wonder, she journeyed through the rugged Himalayas, immersed herself in Tibetan spirituality, and became a bridge between distant worlds.

To honor her indomitable spirit, we unveil Lhasa Rose 1924 inspired by her odyssey — a poetic alchemy of sacred incense, wild mountain air, and the quiet strength of roses blooming against the cold.

Introducing our collaboration with London-based visual artist, Hannah Devereux. Renowned for her unique artistic expression, she explores the realm of abstraction within landscapes and the concept of autonomous images. In partnership with HIMA JOMO, Hannah has ingeniously crafted a collection of perfume blotters, using pages sourced from second-hand and antique books. Her inspiration is drawn from mountain shapes and landscapes, elegantly manifested in a minimalistic style.

The perfume blotters created for HIMA JOMO are not just olfactory delights; they are also exquisite pieces of art meant to be collected and cherished as scented bookmarks. Hannah's creative vision breathes life into each piece, infusing the essence of mountainous landscapes into a contemporary design that invites appreciation and contemplation.

Pashmina's story began centuries ago, in the heart of the Himalayas.

Tracing back to ancient traditions, artifacts and manuscripts reveal the use of Cashmere wool as far back as the 3rd century BC, gracing royal courts and monasteries. Yet, it is in the pristine valleys of Kashmir that Pashmina finds its most celebrated home.

Famous as "Cashmere" in the Western world, the name itself comes from the region, hence demonstrating its profound influence on cultures far and wide.

When Nature Meets Craftsmanship:

The rugged mountains of Kashmir offer a breathtaking landscape and crisp air where the majestic Cashmere goats roam freely, grazing on sparse vegetation that clings to rocky terrain. The goats shed their winter coats in the spring season while being harvested with utmost care.
