It is no secret that within the last year it has been a pretty wild ride. Between multiple hospitalisations, chronic illness flares, surgery, recovery, my partner’s disability worsening of whom I am her carer etc I have not been prioritising myself. I have been working long days until late in the evening; sometimes 6/7 days a week with no schedule, no routine, no nothing to protect me and prioritise me. No family time, no energy to do anything other than think about work.
I have fully burnt out.

So I will be making a few changes

This isn’t anyone’s fault other than my own and that is a vulnerable thing to say on the internet. It’s seldom talked about in the self employed world that building a successful business as a one woman show is incredibly difficult.
I’m not saying any of this to get sympathy but I feel it’s necessary to speak about when you are struggling and boy am I on the struggle bus.
I’m sure my clients who have been in with me recently are already aware of some of what has been going on in my brain (props to you guys for letting me cry on you for once, I am very sorry 🤣) which leads me to my next point:

I am going to be closing my books for new clients and I will be limiting my evenings as most days I am currently working till 9pm most days with no room for work/life balance.
I will of course work with you guys to ensure that you are looked after. So in your upcoming appointments we can work out timings that suit us both best.

Presently I am painting 2.5-4 hour sets and earning way less than minimum wage for it once my deductibles are removed from the overall cost. Add to that the fact that everything has risen in price and I simply cannot keep going at the rate I’m going.
