Hi everyone, I just wanted to post a little update about some changes that will be coming into place when we move salons. 💔

From the 8th of June, a £20 non-refundable deposit will be required for all bookings.

I’ve really tried to avoid doing this for as long as possible, but recently the amount of no-shows, last minute cancellations, and people ignoring cancellation fees has become too much for my business to cope with. It’s honestly been really upsetting.

As most of you know, this is my only source of income. Behind the scenes, the costs of running a small business are far higher than people realise, and one missed appointment can genuinely have a huge impact. What makes it even harder is knowing that someone else could have taken that appointment.

I completely understand that life happens and sometimes things can’t be helped, and I will always try to be understanding where I can. But unfortunately I’ve also lost regular clients simply because I’ve politely asked for the cancellation fee that has always been part of my policies, and being ignored when asking for something fair has been really disheartening.

This decision hasn’t been easy for me at all, but I need to protect my business and my income moving forward.

If you’re already having laser sessions, you can simply pay for your next appointment after your session.

5 TRAVELLER WOMAN JUST ROBBED US!!

Absolutely gobsmacked at what’s just happened. We’ve just carried out 4 lash lift and tints, 4 brow tints & waxes, and a full set of Russian lashes — services worth over £250 — and the clients walked out immediately after without paying. All went out one at a time and the last one said she'd go to get her 'purse' which we then asked her to stay and ask the other one bring and she carried on walking and have never come back.

Completely unacceptable and DIGUSTING behaviour and extremely disappointing for small businesses trying to operate honestly.

The police have now been called, and the incident has been reported.

Please be aware and stay vigilant — if you’re a local salon, keep an eye out and take precautions where possible.
