These little rehydration drinks made our trip so much more bearable. Don’t get me wrong the heat is beautiful but the humidity is exhausting. It’s so important to keep well hydrated in extreme heat however water alone doesn’t always suffice especially if you are spending hours in salt water, further dehydrating. You need to replace important electrolytes daily otherwise you’ll wind up sitting it out on a/c all day.
I love these drinks, they are non fizzy, taste like a Berroca or diluting juice from the two flavours I tried, I like peach the best.

Most of you will know I hurt my shoulder back in May. Thus set me back a whole mth with my training for our marathon in September in Callander here in Scotland.
I have managed to get out for short walks and I have also benefited from doing all my physio exercises.
I repeated a run from week 2 from this morning and I feel super🥰

I encourage you to eat well and keep moving, it is the BEST medicine😉

3 Step Summer Salad

1. Greens (I love Babyleaf, Rocket, Watercress)

2. Selection of various coloured veggies, raw and chopped really small. Aim for a rainbow.

3. Healthy fats/Protein
Choose 1 from each:
Fat: half an avocado
Olive oil
Olives

Protein;
Lean white meat or fish (salmon or mackerel are my favourites)
Edamame beans
Chickpeas
Any other bean
Any lentil

Instead of dressing try 1 spoon of Houmous

Today is Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) awareness day, listen to this interview I recorded with Sarah Gunn back in November.
Sarah is an inspiring human and woman. I don’t know how she did it but she did 5 times no less.

HG is severe sickness during pregnancy, it’s very debilitating and serious if untreated.

I hope this episode will bring support and hope to the listener.

So the last 48 hrs have been interesting….early hours of Thurs I passed out and vomited with the pain.
Phoned 111, went through everything from the start AGAIN, held for 43mins, spoke to a nurse then a Dr phoned me back an hour later and just said take paracetamol and ibuprofen end of…I was sobbing as so emotional and exhausted from the pain…
I saw a lovely Physio yesterday then last night I sat in pain all night sobbing, I honestly have never experienced such pain…
Rang 111 again at 3am, 3rd time lucky🙏🏻 went back over everything from the start again, they don’t keep records fyi, then held for 48mins, spoke to a nurse the a Dr phoned me back. Straight into A&E for another assessment, 1 injection (anti inflammatory into my shoulder) and codeine. If this doesn’t work I’ll need an op😩 please God this works.
